In 1991 Bob and Pete Mac Smith started a new business crushing canola seed on their family farm at Cudal.

Today, in the heart of central west NSW, they employ 60 people at their oilseed crushing and refining facility and export canola and other quality oils to more than 15 countries around the world.

With a new mill commissioned site MSM Milling, also export canola meal and stockfeed pellets to countries around the world directly from Central West NSW.

Brumby Aircraft – Cowra

Thirty years ago Phil Goard built and repaired aircraft in the Sydney suburb of Bankstown.

Increasingly high rent and limited space prompted Phil and his wife to make the move out of the big city in 2000 – and Cowra became their new home.

Rather than becoming the quiet retirement spot they envisaged, orders for the company’s two seater light sports low-wing aircraft hit an all-time high.
